https://www.journal.amorfati.id/index.php/amorti/article/view/528
<p>This study aims to examine in depth the roots of the failure of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in achieving its ultimate goal, namely to form students who are faithful, pious, and have noble character in everyday life. Through a qualitative approach with content analysis methods and comprehensive literature studies, this study identifies fundamental factors that cause the gap between the ideals and the reality of PAI implementation in Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that there are several main factors for PAI failure, including: problems with the curriculum that is not contextual, learning methods that tend to be indoctrinative, lack of teacher competence, limited infrastructure, disparities in education policies, the influence of globalization and digitalization, and minimal collaboration between three educational centers. The implication of this study is the need for a comprehensive reformulation and revitalization of the PAI system that involves all stakeholders, by considering philosophical, sociological, psychological, and technical pedagogical aspects to realize the ultimate goal of PAI in forming perfect human beings who reflect Islamic values in life.</p>Uswatun ChasanahIda Zahara AdibahSirojul BaehaqiMowafg MasuwdMohieddin Masoud

https://www.journal.amorfati.id/index.php/amorti/article/view/539
<table> <tbody> <tr> <td> <p>Poverty remains a global issue and a significant challenge in Indonesia. Although the national poverty rate has declined over time, its potential remains high, especially in rural areas and the eastern regions of Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effect of Zakat, Infaq, and Shodaqoh (ZIS) distribution on poverty levels in Indonesia. Using an associative quantitative approach with time-series data from 2002–2023 obtained from BAZNAS and BPS, along with multiple regression analysis, this study tests the hypotheses both partially and simultaneously. The results show that zakat distribution has a negative and significant effect on poverty levels. In contrast, infaq and shodaqoh distribution have a positive and significant effect on poverty levels. Simultaneously, the distribution of zakat, infaq, and shodaqoh (ZIS) has a significant effect on poverty levels in Indonesia, contributing 87.58% in explaining the variation of poverty levels. These findings indicate that ZIS has great potential as a structural instrument for poverty alleviation in Indonesia, provided that it is managed effectively and in a well-targeted manner.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>Izzul Mustasyfa HamidMuhammad Wildan Khoirul Azka

https://www.journal.amorfati.id/index.php/amorti/article/view/571
<p>The development of chemical technology and industry has led to the emergence of a new paradigm in natural resource management (SDA), which demands a balance between economic interests, environmental sustainability, and occupational safety. In this context, chemical engineering plays a crucial role in designing sustainable processes that are energy efficient and low in waste, while the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) ensures the prevention of workplace accidents and maintains the continuity of industrial operations. However, sustainability is not only determined by technical aspects, but also by moral and spiritual values. Islamic teachings, through the concepts of khalīfah, mīzān, amanah, and the prohibition of fasād, emphasize that humans have a significant responsibility to maintain the balance of nature, as we live side by side with the environment. Nature provides us with air, water, food, and everything else we need to survive. Thus, the synergy between the principles of sustainable chemical engineering, K3 regulations, and Islamic values forms the foundation for fair, safe, and responsible natural resource management. This research uses a qualitative approach by reviewing various literature, such as journals, books, and previous research results related to the integration of these three aspects. The study results indicate that the simultaneous application of Islamic scientific and ethical principles can strengthen efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly chemical industry practices, and has the potential to become a basis for policy development, education, and implementation of sustainable industry in Indonesia.</p>Nadya Noor FirdausAmelia NurwulanMohammad Faris FeriansyahMokh. https://www.journal.amorfati.id/index.php/amorti/article/view/584
<table> <tbody> <tr> <td> <p>This article analyzes the implementation of KMA Number 1503 of 2025 as a strategic policy that reconstructs the direction of madrasah curriculum development through two main pillars: Deep Learning (PM) and Love-Based Curriculum (KBC). This policy marks a fundamental paradigm shift, where madrasahs are no longer positioned as centralized curriculum implementers, but as institutions that have broad autonomy in designing, adjusting, and contextualizing the curriculum according to the needs of students and local characteristics. This autonomy provides space for madrasahs to develop program differentiation and optimize local content as a vehicle for forming essential competencies and strengthening learner identity. Deep learning emphasizes a meaningful, reflective learning process oriented towards critical, collaborative, and creative thinking skills, while KBC focuses on the formation of values, affections, and moderate character based on compassion, respect, and humanity. The integration of the two is aimed at producing a graduate profile that is intellectually intelligent, religious, and has an inclusive character. The results of the analysis show that the successful implementation of KMA 1503/2025 is strongly influenced by madrasah readiness in facing the demands of managerial transformation, strengthening teacher capacity, and fulfilling adequate learning resources. These factors are important prerequisites for the principles of Deep Learning and KBC to be applied consistently and effectively in the classroom. This article recommends the need for systemic support through teacher training, curriculum implementation assistance, and reorganization of madrasah management to align with the new policy direction. Thus, KMA 1503/2025 has great potential to strengthen the quality of madrasah education while affirming the role of madrasah as a center of learning that is humanist, transformative, and responsive to change.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>Ahmad SuryadiAbdul Azis MasangMuhammad Ulil AmriSamikshya MadhukullyaEmmanuel Ande Ivorgba

https://www.journal.amorfati.id/index.php/amorti/article/view/589
<p>This study examines the role of the Islamic Education as a required course in developing awareness, understanding, and behavioral intentions related to Sustainable Development among students in scientific disciplines at the University of Zawia, Libya. Although sustainability has become as a national priority in Libya and North Africa in general, higher education institutions often struggle to embed sustainability principles within curricula, especially in non-specialized general courses. Using a mixed-methods design, the study collected quantitative data from 250 students in mathematics, biology, chemistry, computer science, and physics, supported by qualitative interviews with ten lecturers teaching the Islamic Education course. Descriptive analysis of the questionnaire responses showed moderate to high levels of sustainability awareness, with the course contributing significantly to students’ ethical understanding of environmental and social responsibilities rooted in Islamic concepts. Students also evaluated the course's teaching methods positively, although they expressed their need for more applied, modern and interdisciplinary approaches. The findings further demonstrated that the course positively influenced students’ attitudes and behavioral intentions toward adopting sustainable practices in their personal and future professional careers. Thematic analysis of lecturer interviews supported these results, highlighting pedagogical strategies, challenges, and opportunities for strengthening sustainability integration. The study concludes that the Islamic Education course serves as a valuable ethical and intellectual framework for promoting sustainability among scientific majors in Libyan higher education. Recommendations include curriculum enhancement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of institutional regulations to support sustainability initiatives.</p>Lubnah AbdullahaNajah BaroudFatima AlsaehAmaal kasheemKhuloud AlouziNajimudin ShalghoumMahmoud AbdullahHusna Nashihin
